INTRODUCTION

A lot of people have an “APPETITE” for CERTAIN THINGS, thinking it would bring happiness. When happiness is sought as an END in itself, it becomes ELUSIVE.

QUESTION: Why is happiness elusive for those who seek it? ANSWER: Because nowhere is it stated in the Bible that we should SEEK HAPPINESS! Rather, we find that the scriptures state

The Beatitudes puts it this way, “Happy is the man who HUNGERS and THIRSTS for RIGHTEOUSNESS.” It is when you have a “HEAVENLY APPETITE” and eat your “HEAVENLY DIET” of righteousness that you become HAPPY.

Happiness therefore is a RESULT of seeking RIGHTEOUSNESS! Without righteousness, there can be NO HAPPINESS!
